Members of Eastern Blues recently visited EACH's Treehouse Hospice in Ipswich to hand over £5,200.
7 members of Eastern Blues completed a 225 mile 'Ride for Life' for East Anglia's Children's Hospices in July. Adam, Charlotte, Chris, Gary, Grahame, Owen and Sonny cycled across 4 counties over 3 days, and were very kindly supported by SEN Legal, Bar 11 - Norwich, Empower Services and Grahame R Bolton Handmade Kitchens.
Among those who made friends with us along the way was Andrew Goodson, from Messing in Essex, whose son William, two, receives care from The Treehouse, EACH's hospice in Ipswich.
Andrew, along with William and wife Emma, recently joined us at The Treehouse for a cheque presentation. We also took along personalised home and away kits for William, provided to us by Chelsea Football Club.
Emma says: “Thank you to everyone at Eastern Blues. We had a lovely visit to The Treehouse and it was the perfect end to our recent time off work.”
Adam, Eastern Blues Chair, says: “It has been a pleasure to raise money for such a worthy cause and to see the fantastic work EACH undertakes. A massive thank you to every person who donated, helping us reach this fantastic amount. Days like today make all the training worthwhile.
Details of our next charity event for 2019 will be released in due course!
