Charity

Eastern Blues are proud to support local charities within the area, chosen by our members, to benefit from the fundraising events organised by the club. To date the club have raised over £10,000 for local charities.

Mount Snowdon (2017)

In June 2017, 20 members travelled to Wales to climb Mount Snowdon in aid of East Anglian Air Ambulance and East Anglia's Children's Hospices. At the time of the challenge being agreed at our 2016 AGM, our initial target was £1,000 per charity. Through lots of hard work, determination and number of events, such as our 2017 Legends Night with Steve Clarke, we managed to raise a total of £5,359.27 which was spilt equally between the EAAA and EACH.

Ride for Life (2018)

In July 2018, 7 members undertook EACH Anglia's Children's Hospices' Ride for Life event. The Ride for Life is a 225 mile bike ride across 4 counties over 3 days which saw us cycle from Snetterton to Ipswich on day 1, from Ipswich to Cambridge on day 2 and from Cambridge back to Snetterton on day 3. We were kindly supported by SEN Legal, Bar 11 (Norwich), Empower Services and Grahame R Bolton Handmade Kitchens in our fundraising efforts and managed to raise a total of £5,200 that was presented to EACH at their Treehouse hospice in Ipswich.
